Call for abstracts (NB. extended deadline)

We invite abstracts for posters and for oral presentations reporting empirical findings or methodological advances relevant in the field of the conference, Independent Component Analysis (ICA) and its applications in brain research. Abstracts are welcome also more widely from the field of EEG and event-related potential (ERP) research and analysis, e.g. time-frequency analyses. Thus, the abstracts do not need to report work based on ICA.

The abstracts should be written in English using Times New Roman font (pt 12, except title) and include the following information:

1.     Title (14 pt, bold)

2.     Authors and their affiliations (Affiliations should be numbered with Arabic numerals), e-mail of the corresponding/ presenting author

3.     The main body of the text including information of Research background and aims, Methods, and Results and conclusions (as three separate sub-headings, in bold).

The abstracts should not exceed 250 words (excluding title, author names and affiliations). Figures are not allowed in the abstracts. Please do not use layout styling, automatic word breaking or justified layout.

The abstracts should be sent as an email attachment to the address jan.wikgren@jyu.fi. The file type should be either a MS Word document (.doc or docx) or Rich Text Format (.rtf) file.

Please indicate clearly at the end of your e-mail whether you prefer presenting a poster or giving an oral presentation.

The scientific committee reserves the right to accept or reject the abstracts. In the case of too many requests for oral sessions we will ask some presentations to be changed as posters.

The deadline for submissions is 21 May, 2010.
